Marion Street Press entrusted me with the task of crafting a new logo and branding for their esteemed book publishing company. Inspired by the company’s rich heritage and rustic charm, I envisioned a symbol that evoked a sense of Greek antiquity.
The initial concept drew from the imagery of a lamp post found on the real Marion Street, combined with the presence of a statue-like figure. The culmination of these ideas led to the creation of a vintage-inspired emblem reminiscent of a “bugle boy” or “town crier,” symbolizing the heralding of the latest and greatest books from Marion Street Press. Through this project, I demonstrated my ability to blend historical elements with modern design sensibilities, resulting in a distinctive brand identity that captures the essence of the company’s ethos.
